FBI emails on seeking a UK interview of an Epstein associate, 2019

Unclassified FBI emails discussing an assistance request to locate and interview a suspected Epstein co-conspirator in London, possibly via MLAT.Machine-written summary

Subject: RE: Assistance Request --- UNCLASSIFIED

Date: Thu, 08 Aug 2019 14:00:22 +0000

Importance: Normal

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED

We are going to be out of pocket next week for this case, but when I return I can reach out. The thought process was to allow the local police department to conduct the interview, if they wish. If she declines, so be it. We were hoping to hold off on an MLAT unless they decide to charge her.

If the local PD won’t do the interview without an MLAT, we can discuss with the AUSAs to see if that is feasible.

I have cc’d the case agents on the case as well.

Thank you,

I have your FDR. However, as this is a subject interview, you will likely need an MLAT. Please reach out at your convenience so we may discuss the way forward.

Kind regards,

Good morning!

My squad is investigating Jeffrey Epstein for human trafficking. Part of the investigation was identifying potential victims/co-conspirators. We’ve identified one, DOB who we believe may be working for mastercard and living in London. Could you potentially use local resources to find a known location for her? And if so, we’d like your office to conduct a knock and talk. I can send over a detailed EC, along with a lead, if this is possible.

We believe likely is a co-conspirator, and would need to be served with a Grand Jury Subpoena.

Thank you,
