Wanted to touch base on C-20’s Epstein investigation, which I know happened before your time leading the squad. We received a referral from SDNY regarding allegations that a person is falsely claiming to be an Epstein victim in order to receive funds from a class-action settlement administered by SDNY. I ran the name through Sentinel, and it did not ping on any of C-20’s investigations but I wanted to double check. It would be helpful to know if this individual was identified in C-20’s investigation in any capacity as we evaluate a case opening and initial investigatory steps.¶
Adding my primary to this email because I’m heading down to HQ for an 18-month TDY at the end of this week, and will be picking up the baton for a bit until a term SSA can be selected.¶
