We were just notified so we haven’t engaged MCC. I was going to loop in Ponder tomorrow AM and have him get our agent who covers the jails to work his contacts for details.¶

SDNY advised that Epstein was found unconscious in his cell with red marks on his neck. When staff was able to revive Epstein, he couldn’t recall what happened. His cellmate denied knowing anything and said he was just sitting on his bunk with his earphones on. Epstein was removed from the cell and has been medically evaluated. MCC has initiated an investigation per their SOPs. Of note, the cellmate is Nick Tartaglione.
