Called to clarify evidence received and exams requested. SA indicated that the items received in 1839 are submitted as containing known writing of Jeffery Epstein. The questioned items (envelope and letter) were not received with the known. SA indicated that the questioned items were scanned into Sentinel as part of Serial 147. I requested that if the original items were available to have them submitted to the Laboratory. SA indicated that she is going to track down the originals; however, to get the case started, we will utilize the digitally submitted questioned items.¶

As we discussed on the phone yesterday, we had only received physical evidence for 1B39; therefore, I utilized the documents in Serial 147 to start the unit’s processing of your examination requests. If you do locate the original envelope and greeting card, we do still request that you submit those items to the Questioned Documents Unit.¶
