Thanks so much for this info --- and I apologize for just getting back to you after our conversation yesterday – I was waiting to hear back from our Evidence Unit regarding the 1A with the letter. I was just told that Evidence still has the 1A but is shipping it out now. I requested that they FedEx it to the Lab, Questioned Documents Unit, Attn . So, hopefully you get it soon! The lady I spoke with is going to get me the tracking number – I’ll let you know what that is once I get it!

Thanks!

Subject: NY-3151227/Laboratory #2020-01577

The FBI Laboratory, Quantico received evidence in: NY-3151227 Serial 183, Serial 147, and Lead 4. This case has been assigned Laboratory number 2020-01577 (Submission 1). Please use this Laboratory number when contacting the Laboratory regarding the status of your case.

The evidence in this submission(s) has been assigned to Questioned Documents Unit Personnel who will verify the items submitted. This email is not an acknowledgment that all items described in the request were received. When Questioned Documents Unit Personnel begin work on your submission, they will contact you to provide their contact information and to discuss any questions or concerns they may have, including any discrepancies between the submitted request and the evidence received.

As we discussed on the phone yesterday, we had only received physical evidence for 1B39; therefore, I utilized the documents in Serial 147 to start the unit’s processing of your examination requests. If you do locate the original envelope and greeting card, we do still request that you submit those items to the Questioned Documents Unit.
