2019 SDNY email transmitting a draft prosecution memo for initial review

An assistant U.S. attorney emails a draft prosecution memo, saying it has gone to supervisors and eventually the U.S. Attorney.Machine-written summary

Subject: draft prosecution memo

Date: Tue, 07 May 2019 13:11:38 +0000

Importance: Normal

Attachments: 2019-05-04,_JE,_prosecution_memo,draft(for_initial_review).docx

Following up on a conversation with yesterday, I wanted to pass along the attached, in case it’s of interest.

Definitely no need to read all (or really any!) of it unless you’d like to, but it’s something and I have been working on for a couple months and this past weekend we passed it up the chain to our immediate supervisors for their review, and we expect that it will continue to be refined and expanded as we go. Ultimately it will go up to the U.S. Attorney here (and possibly to DOJ after that). And it puts some meat on the bones of some of the topics we ask about in interviews, in terms of particular elements we’d need to establish, etc. Anyway just in the interest of sharing.

see you tomorrow,

Assistant U.S. Attorney
