On January 3, 2008, an article in the Palm Beach Daily News revealed Epstein’s plea hearing was postponed until March of 2008. Epstein, had agreed to plea in State court on the charges filed against him. Based on a agreement with Federal authorities Epstein was to plea to a 18 month imprisonment followed by house arrest. Epstein was to register as a sex offender for life. According to the article Epstein decided at the last minute not register as a sex offender and wished to negotiate that option further. FBI agent was notified of the findings.¶
