DOJ press staff emails on an NYT Epstein–Prince Andrew article

Subject: FW: USANet Carousel

Date: Tue, 28 Jan 2020 21:02:43 +0000

You’re the first story on USANet: https://usanet.usa.doj.gov/Pages/Welcome.aspx

If we want Main to retweet an article, we’d have to have some sort of update on our site. I’m not sure if we care at this point, @USAttorneys has 16K followers, we have 60k.

Yes, on the USAnet carousel.

Question though before I can tweet from @USAttorneys —are you issuing an official press release/update with the “zero cooperation” statement on justice.gov?

Our standing rule, as of now, is @USAttorneys will tweet out articles, like this NYT article, as long as they’re backed up with a release/statement on the USAO’s justice.gov site. Even if it were to be an update on your VW Epstein case page, it would check that box.

Thanks!

Hey, Thanks! I kept searching today before heading out for a good article on your announcement from earlier. We’ll run a USANet carousel and run the article from @USAttorneys.

Thanks!

Hi ! Not sure if this falls under your purview not (it seems like everything else does), but this made pretty big news today, might be good for the carousel: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/27/nyregion/jeffrey-epstein-prince-andrew.html

Thanks!
