Senior Counsel to the Inspector General U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Office of General Counsel, spoke with Reid Weingarten, Attorney, Steptoe & Johnson LLP, Washington D.C. regarding deceased Federal Bureau of Prisons, Metropolitan Correctional Center New York inmate Jeffrey Epstein. Attorney Weingarten stated that Epstein’s estate has invoked attorney client privilege and they are not willing to be interviewed by the OIG at this time.
