**Subject:** Epstein / MCC

Date: Wed, 24 Jul 2019 00:53:03 +0000

sked me to update you on what we learned from MCC just now:

- Epstein was found on the floor of his cell last not unresponsive, although apparently breathing. There were red stretch marks along his neck.

- He claims to not have a recollection of what happened. He said that within the last few days Tartaglione (his bunkmate) has threatened him.

- Tartaglione claims that he had his headphones on, was not paying attention to Epstein, and does not know what happened.

The MCC is investigating and will keep us posted. I discussed with whether we/FBI want to be more active in any such investigation – not clear what the right answer is. Happy to discuss tonight or in morning if you’d like.
